Prostate Cancer by the Numbers

Early detection and education can dramatically change the outcome of this pervasive disease that affects one in nine men.
Prostate cancer is the 2nd most common form of cancer among men and the 2nd most common form of cancer related death among men.
This year alone, over 268,000 men will develop prostate cancer, and the disease will claim over 34,500 lives.
A man dies of prostate cancer every 15 minutes. That over 85 deaths per day and 34,000 this year.
Black men are nearly 80% more likely to develop prostate cancer than white men, and are more than twice as likely to die from the disease.
Currently there are nearly 3.1 million men in America living with prostate cancer.

With your support, we can end prostate cancer and make blue ribbons a thing of the past.

Thank you.

The Mike Slive Foundation would like to extend its deepest appreciation to the following supporters for their generosity at the Blue Shoe Ball.
